On Indigenous Peoples Day, the Doig River First Nation introduced the Fort St. John community to Naache Commons – a new development that would exist on Doig River First Nation reserve land as part of the larger Gat Tah Kwą urban reserve. Naache Commons is a vision for indigenous and non-indigenous people to gather for work and living. The 8 acres of land represents the only available reserve lands in or near Fort St. John – creating a unique opportunity for individuals, families and organizations to establish their workplaces and homes.
