Introducing one of DRFN’s new community development business advisors – Will Fong

September 3, 2022

For the past 14 years, I’ve served as a trusted advisor to First Nations, indigenous organizations, and indigenous businesses.  Most recently I served as a Partner at national consulting firm, leading their management consulting practice specializing on serving indigenous clients.  I currently reside in Treaty 7 territory where both sides of my family settled when then came to Canada.

I’m excited about the opportunity to become more involved with Doig River First Nation, by rolling-up my sleeves and helping to bring economic prosperity and multi-generational wealth to the wonderful Dane-zaa people who have embraced me and made me welcome in their community.  I will be focusing my energy on Naache Commons, and bringing that vision to reality.  I will also be working with Council to review major investment opportunities that are presented to the Nation, in order to identify which ones to pursue based on Council’s long-term strategy.
