My name is Roland Dixon and I am the new Protective Services Manager at DRFN. I am originally from Victoria, BC and have now called Fort St John home for the past 5 years. Prior to joining the team at DRFN, I was a member of the RCMP for 4 years. I spent 2 of those years in Indigenous Policing, working closely with DRFN.
Before joining the RCMP, I was a Deputy Sheriff in BC for 12 years and have been in almost every courthouse in the province.
In my spare time, you can find me outdoors hiking, camping, and fishing. I am an avid hunter and recreational/competition shooter.
I competed in the World Police & Fire Games in 2015, where I won two bronze medals in the pistol competition.
I am very excited to be in my new role at DRFN and look forward to working with everyone!
