Welcome to DRFN Nurse Laura! Laura Halling is taking over as the Community Nurse while Amie is off having her baby and on maternity leave. Laura brings 17 years of nursing experience to the position. She worked as a nurse on Vancouver Island for most of her career and just moved up to Fort St. John to work for Northern Health last November.
Laura is originally from Estonia, in northern Europe. She has been in Canada for just over 23 years. She is married and has three daughters, ages 8, 11 and 14.
She is really enjoying the opportunity to meet everyone out here and get to know them. She also really enjoys the beautiful and scenic drive out to Doig each day.
