Reports To: Housing Coordinator
General Job Description
This temporary casual position will assist the Community Development Department with administrative activities as directed by their supervisor the Housing Coordinator. The department will be looking for one individual to fill this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Functions:
- Assists with all department administrative activities as directed by the Housing Coordinator
- Scan and digitalize all department documents
- Assist with preparations of all department community engagement and events
Reporting Structure
The Summer Housing Assistant reports directly to the Housing Coordinator who in turn reports to the Community Development Manager.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate must be organized, and demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised, problem solve and take initiative
- The successful candidate must be articulate and demonstrate good communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and an insured vehicle in good condition suitable for travel
- Dependable, motivated and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
Working Conditions
This position requires the incumbent to:
- To work in Doig River First Nation Community
- Reimbursement for travel will be provided at $0.70/ kilometer.
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00AM – 4:30PM.
- Duration: June – August with potential for alternative start and end dates.
