The purpose of the Housing Committee is to support department staff in implementing and enforcing housing policies and procedures by assisting with:
- the evaluation and selection of candidates for new housing
 - at the request of the Housing and Public Works Administrator, the evaluation and selection of candidates for housing renovations, and
 - the housing complaint appeals process
 
The Housing Committee is in place to ensure that housing decisions are made in a fair and objective manner without political influence. It is a consensus-based advisory body that holds no independent authority other than what it is delegated to it from Chief and Council.
The Housing Committee is comprised of six members that include:
- Housing and Public Works Administrator, Jennifer Davis
 - Band Manager, Shona Nelson
 - Elder Margaret Davis
 - Financial Controller, Sydney Gustafson
 - Housing and Operations Maintenance Supervisor, Kevin Geist
 - Health and Social Development Manager, Terre Walton
 - Councillor, Brittany Brinkworth
